About the project
This was a collaborative project for building a WordPress template to support the Creative Briefs website. Creative Briefs is an AIGA Pittsburgh podcast series focused on what inspires and motivates creative people. I worked on coordinating the visual layout and coding the template in PHP.

Process
Paper Sketches
We first designed the general layout of the pages on paper, and discussed what flows would work well for the site.
Illustrator Mockups
After deciding on the layout, we created mockups that would visually resemble the final website. This became our guideline for when we coded the layout in CSS.
Coding with CSS & PHP
We created a new WordPress template from scratch, designing each page in CSS and using PHP to allow admin functionalities such as creating new posts on the site using WordPress’s text editor.
